Using Essential Oils To Reduce Toxins from Dr Carey- Chiropractor in Den Haag

I love essential oils! If you have been to our clinic, you can see a larger selection in the corner of the Garden ( our adjusting room) for patients to use.

I think there are so many ways they can be used and are a really great ( and natural) way to reduce the use of chemicals in your life.

My favourite shop in The Hague was just featured online. Here is the article if you would like to read more about them. This is where I usually recommend to patients to get oils and other natural items.

I pulled together a few helpful ways that you can use oils in your everyday life to enhance your health. These are just suggestions and take caution whenever you introduce something new to your body, as you are never sure how it will react!

Use Lavender Oil for Relieve from Stress

Lavender oil is derived from fresh lavender flowers and is is known to slow down the activity of nervous system thus promoting better concentration and relieving your body from stress.

Get Rid of Indigestion and Headache with Peppermint

Peppermint oil is known to alleviate headache and nausea. Menthol present in the oil helps in stopping involuntary contractions which effectively enhance the flow of bile. The calming aroma of this oil will calm your senses to promote relaxation.

Decongest your Chest with Eucalyptus

Eucalyptus oil is an important ingredient in many cold and flu products because it unclogs the sinuses, clears lungs and opens bronchial passages. Use an aroma diffuser to fill your room with the aroma to decongest your chest.

Forget Acne by Using Tea Tree Oil

Tea Tree oil has strong antimicrobial properties making it an ideal remedy for acne and other skin related problems such as lice, dandruff and athlete's foot. This oil is widely used in many cosmetic and medicinal products because it prevents infection by inhibiting their growth and by damaging cell membranes.

Reduce Skin Inflammation with Blue Chamomile Oil

Extracted from German chamomile, Blue Chamomile oil has excellent anti-inflammatory properties. It is known to inhibit the chemical process that aggravates inflammation. Also, this essential oil is known to have proven results for stomach ulcers.

Make sure to use the best quality oils, especially if you are using them beyond just to make the room smell nice. I'm here to help if you have any questions!
