Is chiropractic covered by my insurance?Chiropractic care is usually reimbursed through your supplementary insurance ("aanvullende verzekering"). If you are unsure whether your treatments will be covered, please contact your health insurer or visit this website for more information.

Are chiropractors doctors?At Gewoon Chiropractie, we have all earned a Doctor of Chiropractic (D.C.) degree. This title is awarded after successful completion of a four- to six-year course at a university. The curriculum covers many topics such as radiology, chiropractic care for children and the elderly, clinical neurology, clinical medicine, musculoskeletal medicine, neuroscience, biomechanics, biomedical science and much more. Practical experience must be gained at the university's chiropractic center during the last 1 or 2 years of the training. This way you can rest assured that your chiropractor will treat you competently and correctly. To ensure the quality of chiropractic education, accrediting bodies around the world are used to enforce standards. At Gewoon Chiropractie we are all qualified by such accredited institutions.

How many treatments do I need?How many treatments are needed will differ per person; generally there is an intensive phase at the beginning. This intensive phase is not permanent and will be adjusted in consultation with you based on your progress and wishes.

Do I need a referral?You do not need a referral to receive treatment from us.

Can I book an appointment right away?Absolutely, you can schedule your consult directly here for an appointment with Dr. Peter or here for Dr. Carey. Would you prefer personal contact? That is also possible! You can call or email us, without obligation.

I'm pregnant, can I still get a treatment?Yes, you can also get treated by us if you are pregnant. Pregnancy is a wonderful but intense process, during which a lot changes in your body. These changes can cause various physical complaints. Our method of care focuses on supporting your body's natural ability to adapt and heal itself. We use gentle, safe techniques to relieve your discomfort and improve your body's ability to organize itself effectively. We also understand that not every position is equally easy or comfortable for you, so we take this into account during your treatment.

What does a treatment cost?With us, an intake costs €60,-. Per treatment it costs €60,-. If you opt for a package of 12 treatments with us it will cost you €660. Please note that if you choose a treatment during your intake, there will be an extra €60 fee.

Do you also treat children?Yes, if you are already receiving care from us, we will treat your children (up to 12 years old) for free!
